Join us for a special On the Shoulders of Giants program featuring African American young men from the Collegiate School in New York City—the oldest all-male private school in the country. As founders of the Carter G. Woodson Society at Collegiate, these high school students bring a powerful youth perspective to the study and stewardship of African American history.Guided by the theme "Celebrating a Century of Courage: Co-Creating and Co-Existing," the students will lead the audience through thoughtful dialogue, storytelling, and reflection. Drawing inspiration from the life and legacy of Dr. Carter G. Woodson, they will share how his work has shaped their commitment to scholarship, leadership, and historical truth. This intergenerational exchange underscores the lasting impact of African American history while amplifying the voices of young leaders carrying Woodson’s vision forward.
