Celebrating 50 Years of Strumpshaw Fen - a talk by Drew Lyness

Drew is a passionate birder and naturalist, who largely focuses on his 'local patch', the reserves in the Mid-Yare Valley, where he is also a BTO surveys volunteer. He is therefore very well equipped to talk about one of our favourite reserves, RSPB Strumpshaw Fen.
Drew first became engaged with our RSPB Local Group as a teenager, when he joined some of our coach trips and impressed as a very keen and knowledgeable bird watcher. A few years later he connected with us again as our RSPB volunteer engagement officer, before continuing a career in supporting and developing other volunteer communities. He is now working for the BTO at Thetford.
