Celebrate the United States Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Dr. Mercedes “Sadie” Haigler from Florida State University’s Department of History explores women’s roles in early American civic life and political networks. This lecture connects historical foundations to contemporary American identity and culture, showing how the revolutionary spirit continues to shape community engagement, social life, and civic participation today. This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments provided.
