Please join us to celebrate World Hijab Day! The first annual World Hijab Day was on February 1, 2013 and we are happy to be able to celebrate this annual event. There will be several booths for information, playing games, and even trying on a hijab. We welcome you to come learn about the meaning of hijab and why Muslim women wear it.This event is organized by Masjid Sahabah and the West Des Moines Library to bring awareness, to foster personal freedom of religious expression and to dismantle prejudice and discrimination against Muslim women and girls who wear the hijab. No registration required.
