Hosted annually in April, Celebrate Trails Day is an initiative of the Rails to Trails Conservancy to encourage people across the country to enjoy our nation’s – and for us, Will County’s – exceptional trails and trail systems. This year we’re showcasing the new connection from Lake Chaminwood Preserve to the I&M Canal State Trail and riding along the historic canal to the campground at McKinley Woods — Frederick’s Grove near the county’s western edge.
