Join us in la Grande Salle for the last event in a series celebrating the 1,000th Jubilee of Chartres Cathedral. Organized by The American Friends of Chartres, these lectures will be led by MJ McGregor, Ph.D. To learn more about the series, visit this website: https://www.afmsp.org/cathdrale-de-chartres?rq=chartres#/ This last lecture will focus on Time in the Cathedral: “Time requires space; and time is eternal. Chartres Cathedral evokes time, from the north porch to the south porch, from the creation of the world to the final judgement, from Alpha to Omega. Time is expressed through the zodiac in stone and stained-glass, sundials, angels, a mechanical clock and the medieval astronomical clock”.
