About this Event

Funded by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC), Starting out Safely is Victoria’s early childhood road safety education program, delivered by Early Learning Association Australia (ELAA).

You are warmly invited to attend a special event celebrating the achievements of this year’s Road Safety Education Inquiry Project.

Building on the success of previous projects, this year’s initiative has brought together a committed group of educators from across Victoria to explore meaningful and innovative approaches to engaging children, families, and communities in road safety education.

The project has been led by Zora Marko (Project Manager) in collaboration with Catharine Hydon, Karen Glancy, Debbie Cole, Louise Dorrat and Gilda Howard, who have guided participating services through a process of inquiry, reflection, and action.

Why Attend

  • Hear directly from educators who are championing road safety education in early childhood settings.
  • Gain insights into how children are becoming active voices for safety within their communities.
  • Acknowledge and celebrate the innovation, commitment, and leadership demonstrated by the project participants.

What to Expect

  • Showcases of inspiring, locally-driven road safety projects from early childhood services across Victoria.
  • Educators sharing their experiences, challenges, and achievements, highlighting real impact in their communities.
