Celebrate National Women's Small Business Month: Get Certified!
Join the Urban League of Louisiana’s Women’s Business Resource Center this October as we celebrate National Women’s Small Business Month! Register today for “Get Certified!”, a hands-on workshop that guides small business owners through the streamlined certification process that puts all SBA certifications in one location on the MySBA Certifications platform. Topics covered include: SAM registration, 8(a), HUBZone, Veteran-owned Small Business, and Woman-owned Small Business certifications. All small business owners are welcomed to attend.
Two “Get Certified!” sessions take place on Tuesday, October 7, 1:00PM-3:00PM, and, Tuesday, October 14, 5:30PM-7:30PM, at the Urban League of Louisiana, Technology Hub – 1st Floor, 4640 S. Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119. Register for one or both as needed. All attendees should bring a fully charged laptop for use during the workshop if available. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to receive advance preparation materials.
Please note that SAM registration is required for SBA certifications. If you are not registered on SAM.gov, please have your EIN and business account information on-hand in order to complete the SAM Registration during the workshop.
Sessions will be facilitated by Marjorae Ball, Economic Development Specialist, SBA Louisiana District Office, and Courtney Elzey, Principal at MCDS, LLC.
