Join the Los Angeles Public Library - Westwood branch, All of Us California, the Los Angeles LGBT Center, SciStarter, and the Network of the National Library of Medicine for an event where we take a deep dive into genetics and equity.
ABOUT THE EVENT
In this event, community leaders will begin a conversation about how healthcare research hasn't always included all demographics and types of people -- and how this can change with a little help from YOU. Then, because the room is set up fishbowl-style, attendees can grab the mic and share their thoughts on discussion questions with community leaders, health professionals, and researchers. All people, of all backgrounds, are welcome to contribute!
The formal conversation starts at 4:30 PM PT, but come at 4 PM PT for snacks, tabling with the below partners, the opportunity to participate in the All of Us Research program, and hands-on citizen science activities where you can do more real science. After the conversation ends at 5:30 PM PT, we'll stick around for more informal interaction and fun!
