Join The Salvation Army Newcastle City Temple Corps in Celebration of Advent & Christmas 2024. Each Sunday Morning at 11am you are welcome to join us for our Advent Worship on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd December, where we will take time to reflect on the themes of HOPE, PEACE, JOY & LOVE. Included within our service on December the 1st we shall share in the dedication of a young life to God - the life of Lillian-May, and offer thanks to God for the joy which she has already brought to her family. This service will also include our annual Toy & Gift service, where regular worshippers will bring along new toys and gifts for our annual Christmas Toy Appeal. Light refreshments (Tea/Coffee & Cake) will be served after this service.
At 5pm on the 8th, 15th and 22nd December you are invited to join us for our Carol Services. The first Carol Service on the 8th December is our Musicians Carol Service. On the 15th we have our very special 'Light up a Life' - Christmas Remembrance Service. And our final carol service will be held on the 22nd December, and will involve some form of Nativity involving our Younger members. Each Carol Service will offer something different. Refreshments are served at the conclusion of each carol service.
In addition on Christmas Eve at 4pm we have our Christmas Eve Crib Service, a very gentle reflective service ,which lasts just over 30 minutes, after which light seasonal refreshments are served.
On Christmas Day we meet for family worship at 10.30am in celebration of the Birth of Jesus. On New Years Eve, commencing at 7.30pm, we have an evening of fellowship - including a 'bring & share' supper & lots of games and quizzes, before joining together at approximately 11:30pm for our Watchnight service, during which we welcome in the New Year with prayer and worship.
