Please join DI students, faculty, and alumni as we gather to celebrate Becky Zoni-McMakin, NCIDQ, CID, ASID and wish her happy retirement. (not sure if we want the RSVP link here)
An educator, practicing designer, and artist with a deep commitment to the interior design profession and academic excellence, Becky has been inspiring DI students since 1995. Becky’s contributions to ensuring the highest standards in the classroom and a commitment to our institution's mission and values has been unwavering. In addition to teaching a variety of subjects in the BFA program ranging from design studios to CAD and business practice, Becky served on numerous committees and taskforces over the years contributing to multiple accreditation visits by CIDA and WSCUC, BFA program curriculum development, and faculty leadership.
Beyond academics, Becky’s talent as a designer shine through an impressive portfolio of projects (link to her website https://sites.google.com/view/rz-designs/services).
While Becky has taught a wide range of courses at DI for nearly 30 years, it is the success and accomplishments of her students that truly fuel her passion. Her dedication to nurturing and empowering the next generation of designers is truly commendable and serves as a testament to her unwavering commitment to their success.
The celebratory reception will be held December 5, 2024, from 5 pm to 7 pm in Building 2
