Innovate Calgary and the Social Innovation Hub Invite you to join us for the third annual Black Professionals Luncheon. Highlighting the success of and learning from Black trailblazers, Heather Campbell from Rev Innovations, Wunmi Idowu from the Black Arts and Culture Council, and Clint Boodram from TD Bank.
Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with three distinguished Black professionals whose work spans energy, finance, and the arts, and whose impact is felt locally, nationally, and globally. The panel will explore how their unique career journeys have shaped their approaches to leadership, innovation, and community building.
Black Professionals attending will also have the opportunity to recieve a professional Headshot with Motif Photographer- Sam Obadero. Be sure to arrive early as there are limited spaces for headshots and it will be available on a first come first serve basis!
- Heather Campbell will share insights from her extensive career in the energy industry, with a focus on sustainability, energy transition, and inclusion. With her expertise in clean technology and energy policy, she’ll offer valuable perspectives on how Black professionals can drive change in industries that are vital to our future. Heather’s dedication to community service will also highlight the importance of leadership and volunteerism in creating a more inclusive society.
- Clint Boodram will provide invaluable knowledge on financial literacy, community development, and the role of banking in empowering individuals and businesses. With over two decades of experience, Clint will discuss how he leverages his expertise to foster stronger connections between the financial industry and the Black community, ensuring that financial solutions are accessible and aligned with the unique needs of Black individuals and entrepreneurs.
- Wunmi Idowu will shed light on the intersection of arts, culture, and social change. As an award-winning artist, Founder and Director of Woezo Africa Music & Dance Theatre and Founder of the Black Arts & Culture Council, Wunmi will discuss the importance of visibility for ethnically diverse artists and how creative expression can be a powerful catalyst for societal transformation. Her work in empowering communities through arts education will inspire attendees to consider how the arts can play a pivotal role in fostering social change and advancing cultural understanding.
Together, these trailblazers will provide a multifaceted view of leadership and success, while also addressing the challenges and opportunities facing Black professionals in their respective fields. Attendees will leave the event with a deeper understanding of how to elevate their careers, contribute to their communities, and celebrate the profound contributions of Black professionals in shaping the future.
