Join Us for the Final Connections and Conversations Event of 2025
In Celebration of the 155th Anniversary of Riverside Cemetery
We warmly invite you to attend our final Connections and Conversations event of the year as we commemorate the 155th anniversary of Riverside Cemetery.
Special guest and local historian Ian McKechnie will lead us through the rich and fascinating history of the cemetery, sharing stories of its origins and highlighting some of the notable individuals laid to rest within its grounds.
About Riverside Cemetery:
Established in 1870 by a group of local businessmen, Riverside Cemetery was created in response to the limited space available in Lindsay’s earlier burial grounds. As the community grew, Riverside Cemetery became the new home for many transferred burials from the older cemeteries, evolving into both a serene place of remembrance and a vital link to Lindsay’s heritage.
We look forward to sharing this meaningful occasion with you.
Please note that there are two options for tours, one at 11:00am and one at 4:00pm.
This is a rain or shine event. The terrain at the cemetery may be uneven, please take precautions when joining us.
We ask that you bring non-perishable food donations for Kawartha Lakes Food Source as admission for this event.
