About this Event
For one night, Leicester Cathedral will become your dancefloor - our Ceilidh in the Cathedral will have music from local band Moggy in the Wood, drinks from Huxley’s bar and a friendly caller to guide you through the dances.
The Relaxed Ceilidh is specifically aimed at children (age 3-16), to be accompanied by an adult, with an earlier time and shorter session from 6:30-7:30pm to be kind to little legs.
For the Relaxed Ceilidh, groups should include a minimum of one adult for every four children. Children under five must be partnered by an adult and may need guiding or carrying through the dances. Under 3's are welcome and can enter free of charge.
The Ceilidh in the Cathedral (16+) is open to all, whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced Ceilidh dancer. It will run from 8-9:30pm.
For both sessions doors will open 15 minutes before the start time and there will be seating around the building to allow you to have a rest, drink and chat.
