About this Event
The CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals will be hosting an event in celebration of their new programming and innovation facility on September 17th, 2022.
For over a decade, the CEE Centre has been offering career training and wraparound supports to mitigate labour market and inclusion gaps in Technology, Finance, Social Services, Hospitality, and Trades. In 2019, the CEE expanded its services to support sector advocacy and leadership and, in 2020, put this model into action to advocate for and raise funds to support B3 groups throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization boasts a retention rate of 96%, having successfully graduated close to 600 young Black professionals.
On September 17th, the CEE will launch a 16,000 square-foot space that will allow for expanded hybrid delivery, increased in-house programming, and serve as a creative engagement hub for the community. Laying its foundation in Scarborough, the CEE is excited to contribute to expanding the area’s footprint and be one of the social innovation spaces that is integral to the growth of the Scarborough community and beyond.
The launch event will include immersive program activations, cultural celebrations, entertainment, food and more, and is open to the community at no cost.
CEE is launching its new head office at 75 Thermos Road, Scarborough, M1L 4W8. The event is open to the community at no cost and will feature immersive program activations, cultural celebrations, entertainment, meal and more.
This new space will allow for expanded hybrid delivery, majority of programming to be offered in-house, and serve as an engagement and creators' space for CEE youth and the wider community. The new office space is 16,000 square feet in comparison to our previous located of 1500 square feet.
