Each year, thousands of salmon return to our local watersheds to produce the next generation of fish. From May to September, adult salmon pass through the Ballard Locks on the final leg of their epic journey, returning to the rivers and streams in which they were born.On select Saturdays and Sundays, our naturalists will be stationed at the Ballard Locks from 10:30am to 3:30pm to help you spot spawning salmon and learn about all the things we can do to help this keystone species.
This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in program—no registration necessary. Learn more: https://www.seattleaquarium.org/explore-the-aquarium/programs/cedar-river-salmon-journey/
