About this Event
The Conformité Européenne (CE) Mark is defined as the European Union’s (EU) mandatory conformity marking for regulating the goods sold within the European Economic Area (EEA). The CE marking represents a manufacturer’s declaration that products comply with the EU’s New Approach Directives. These directives not only apply to products within the EU but also for products that are manufactured in or designed to be sold in the EEA. The CE mark indicates that a product:
A. Fulfills the requirements of relevant European product directives
B. Meets all the requirements of the relevant recognized European harmonized performance and safety standards
C. Is fit for its purpose and will not endanger lives or property.
The presentation provides an introduction of the CE marking requirements for placing a product on the EU market. A summary of steps for a product CE compliance marking will be reviewed as they were applied to GDMS-C's Meshnet products. A short introduction into the UKCA marking on UK products due to BREXIT will also be discussed.
