About this Event
As the United States aims to decarbonize, carbon dioxide removal (CDR) is increasingly seen as one tool that has tremendous potential for both economic growth and climate mitigation solutions. Due to a slew of federal investments by Congress in carbon removal in recent years, America has become a global leader in CDR. Removing carbon from the atmosphere will require further support, including increased R&D and deployment of a broad portfolio of solutions, such as direct air capture, natural climate solutions, marine CDR and others.
Join us on May 1 for an in-person discussion on the policy opportunities and barriers to CDR and the release of Rhodium Group’s new report, The Landscape of Carbon Dioxide Removal and U.S. Policies to Scale Solutions. Sen. Michael Bennet (D-CO) will provide thoughts on the congressional outlook.
