Charlotte DeSoto Building Industry Association Announces Annual “Show Me the License” Home Building & Remodeling ShowThe Charlotte DeSoto Building Industry Association (CDBIA) is proud to present the inaugural “Show Me the License” Home Building & Remodeling Show, taking place on Saturday, November 8th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Port Charlotte Town Center.
This one-day event is designed to connect the community with trusted, licensed contractors, builders, and industry professionals in Charlotte and DeSoto counties. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore services, products, and expert guidance to ensure they hire qualified professionals for their construction and renovation needs.
Highlights of the event include:
• Live Demonstrations showcasing building and remodeling techniques.
• Educational Sessions led by industry leaders on how to hire and verify licensed contractors.
• Hourly Prizes for attendees throughout the day.
• Kid Zone hosted by Lowe’s, where children can construct their own projects.
• High School Student Construction Challenge from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., spotlighting the next generation of skilled trades.
