Caryl Crane Youth Theatre is holding open auditions for its upcoming productions of Just So, The Musical, Cinderella and Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, at the Hogrefe Building, 150 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.

Just So, The Musical will be presented October 23-25, 2025 in the RCAAS auditorium in Sandusky.
Seeking performers ages 8-18 for the production!
Cinderella will be presented November 13-15, 2025 in the RCAAS auditorium in Sandusky.
Seeking MUSICIAN performers ages 10-18 for the production!
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be presented December 4-6, 2025 in the RCAAS auditorium in Sandusky as part of our annual CCYT Holiday Spectacular! Seeking performers ages 6**-18 for the production!
*Due to the nature of the non-conflicting rehearsal process, actors ages 14-18 may audition and be cast in both productions.
** Auditions for actors ages 6-7 will take place in October of 2025. Date TBA. For the August 30th auditions, we are only seeing actors ages 8+. Stay tuned for additional information!
JUST SO, THE MUSICAL!
Did you ever wonder how the Elephant got its trunk or the Camel got its hump? Based on Rudyard Kipling's classic tales of nature's great beginnings, the team who brought us HONK! are back with a magical journey through the jungle where individuality, friendship and courage are needed to create the world we can all thrive in!
Great roles available for actors and singers, ages 8 through 18. To participate in Just So, you must be age 8 or above by the first rehearsal on September 29, 2025. Rehearsals will be weekday evenings (Monday-Thursday) between 5 pm – 7:30 pm, September 29 - October 22, 2025. A specific rehearsal breakdown will be provided after casting. Actors will not be needed at all rehearsals. 3 public performances will be offered on October 23 and 24 at 7 pm and 25 at 2 pm. Roles may be double-cast for this production.
Rodgers and Hammerstein's CINDERELLA
The Caryl Crane Youth Theatre production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella will be actor-musician driven. Polish those intsrumental skills, because it's time to put on the glass slipper!
Great roles available for actors, singers dancers, and MUSICIANS ages 10 through 18. Not all roles require instrumentalists, but priority casting will be for those who are.
To participate in Cinderella, you must be age 10 or above by the first rehearsal on September 28, 2025. Rehearsals will be Sunday's only beginning September 28, with a total of 6 rehearsals prior to tech-week. The week of November 10, rehearsals will be 5 pm - 8:30 pm Monday-Wednesday. A specific rehearsal breakdown will be provided after casting. Actors may not be needed at all rehearsals. 4 public performances will be offered on November 13 and 14 at 7 pm and 15 at 11 am and 2 pm. Roles will be double-cast for this production.
*Age requirement exceptions may be made at the direcotor's discretion based on audition turn-out, musician needs, and actors competition team status.
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER
As part of our CCYT Holiday Spectacular, this 30- minute presentation of everyone's favorite holiday helper, as fun roles for actors and singers, ages 6 through 18. To participate in Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer, you must be age 6 or above by the first rehearsal on November 17, 2025. Rehearsals will be weekday evenings (Monday-Thursday) between 5 pm – 6:30 pm, November 17 - December 3, 2025 (no rehearsal Thanksgiving weekend). A specific rehearsal breakdown will be provided after casting. Actors will not be needed at all rehearsals. 3 public performances will be offered on December 4 and 5 at 7 pm and December 6 at 2 pm. Roles may be double-cast for this production.
