In this our fifth wellbeing walk, we will be stepping back in time in the formal gardens at Cliffe Castle Park. Retracing the past, investigating historical exercise and wellbeing which shaped this well loved green space we know today. We will be looking at how you can connect outdoor wellbeing activities and indoor exhibitions, enhancing and elevating your family or community group winter walks by utilizing park green space and the museum exhibits to their fullest. ⭐️⭐️Booking is essential ⭐️⭐️All welcome we have limited places, the walk is free to attend on a first come basis. Join Cliffe Castle Museum’s resident expert https://bradfordmuseums.org/ . Who will guide us through the museum in a guided talk about the general history of Cliffe Castle Museum, private estate to public park with a Q&A.
Val Preston will be leading the walk with experience working in the wellbeing industry, qualified personal trainer and Tai Chi instructor Val will inspiring you to use all your senses on a slow walk, we will be looking at breathing for relaxation in both park and museum.
Please wear appropriate clothing for the day, (we will be outdoors for Some of the time) meet at the first glasshouse by the flag poll. Some of the walk will be on parkland paths, flat shoes please.
We hope to enable you to inspire walks with friends and family, enjoy your community walks in greenspace, explain and discover how mental health improves and overall wellbeing benefits when we develop and engage in outdoor sensory activity throughout the seasons.
