With the continuous development and widespread adoption of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies have become an undeniable force in the global financial system. This revolution is not only a technological and financial transformation but also a challenge to and redefinition of traditional financial systems.
As CEO of Maicoin, Taiwan's pre-eminent cryptocurrency company, Alex Liu is well-positioned to see not only how crypto got to where it is, but also where it's going. Having lived and worked in Silicon Valley, South Korea and China, he is familiar with the technology ecosystems on both sides of the Pacific. In 2013, he co-founded MaiCoin, as he identified an opportunity to fruitfully develop cryptocurrencies and blockchain in Greater China. Alex holds undergraduate and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he was a Mayfield Fellow.
