A ride for those experienced riders that love a bit of distance on generally good roads/road shoulders, some short hills and the Fernleigh track (slightly uphill for most of it's length). A quickish lunch at one of Newcastle Honeysuckle waterfront cafe's, then return by train (bring your Opal card!).
The route takes us from Gosford along the Central Coast Hwy to Long Jetty, then through the Entrance and on to Wilfred Barret Drv for some fast riding. After a short regroup we continue north to
Lake Munmorah where we join the old Pacific Hwy to Swansea for our morning tea stop (after 60kms). Then we join the Fernleigh track (now extended to Swansea) to Adamstown and the final ride through the suburbs to Newcastle waterfront.
After enjoying lunch with a view, a short ride to Newcastle Interchange station for a relaxed train ride back to the Coast.
