About this Event
Pine Tree Park will soon serve as the site for the CBRM Pallet Village.
The Village will transform the lives of those who will call it home for a time. For some, it will be the first time they have had a safe roof over their head and a secure place where they can leave their most important possessions. It will also be a place where they can begin to plan for their future and connect to the resources needed to make that future a reality.
The residents of the Village will come from across CBRM and will have a diverse range of experiences, skills, interests, and needs. In addition to the support services and programming that will be provided by staff on-site, we have received an outpouring of generosity from community members offering everything from teaching yoga and crochet classes to providing food and welcome baskets to helping with set-up and maintenance.
Thank you!
We invite you to join us for this Volunteer Information Session on July 4 in Gallery 209 at the Eltuek Arts Centre. It will be opportunity to share ideas, to learn about the Village, and to identify opportunities to ensure it is a supportive, positive, and welcoming addition to the community.
Light refreshments will be served.
