About this Event
Bringing our breakfast events to engage with the Canberra Innovation Network (CBRIN) community, the next CBR Space Breakfast event on Wednesday 13 November will focus on Opportunities for Canberra Companies in the Space Sector.
It is often said that space is hard (which is true) but its more often forgotten that space companies come from a range of non-space backgrounds. The transition happens when they apply their existing skills and capabilities to space activities, often in unexpected ways. Its not about being space-focused, its about being good at what you do!
The panel discussion will share experiences on working in the space sector and seek to address queries including:
- What are the benefits of working in the space sector?
- What is needed to be 'space ready'?
- How do opportunities to work in the space sector come up?
- The space sector is global - why do it from Canberra?
Panelists include,
- Craig Benson (Skykraft)
- Erica Collins (Secure Bits)
- Paul Compston (New Frontier Technologies)
- Bianca Sawyer (Quantum Brillance)
Moderator: Joe Andrews (CBR Space Industry Cooperative)
The goal of these events is to create more collaborative opportunities to grow space activities in the nations capital and we are proud to have the support of the ACT Government to help make these events happen.
The event starts at 830am with the discussion panel taking place from 900-920am before wrapping up at 1000am. It will be held at CBRIN (1 Moore Street, Canberra) on level 4.
