Here at capital bachata collective, we are super excited to present an awesome series of monthly workshops with:

? Raine - Bachata Queen Extraordinaire ?

Raine is an incredibly experienced dancer, teacher and performer. She brings a wealth of knowledge which will deepen your understanding and capability in bachata, and other partner dances. There is more information about her below.
Starting in August, on the first Saturday of each month, there will be two 1.5 hour open level workshops. Each workshop stands on its own so you can drop in and attend any workshop you like.

⭐️ August Workshops ⭐️
1100 - 1230 “Balance and Control”
Improving balance and control over your body will bring huge benefits to your dancing. With better balance you will be able to adjust and play with your footwork effortlessly. Better body control makes close bodywork easier to lead and follow as well as making your basic steps so much more enjoyable.
1300 - 1430 “Clarity and Accents”
Clarity of intention, and the ability to read that intention, is a critical element in successful social dancing. Having fun with the music is also an important element in social dancing, playing with accents is great way to level up your social dance experience.

⭐️ Payment Details ⭐️
1 workshop $30
Both workshops $50

⭐️ Raine ⭐️
“Raine's decades of dance experience in multiple dance genres are evident in every class, workshop or choreography that she delivers. Her musicality and cheeky nature show through in her routines but really shine on the social dance floor. Her inherent musicality and ability to think on her feet sees her as a favourite in jack and jill competitions and live performances.
Based in Palmerston North, Raine is the Artistic and Creative Director of Raine’s Suavesitas and PAMANLAHI Cultural Ensemble – both dance groups recognised locally and internationally for their creative and energetic performances.
Raine has been heavily involved in growing the New Zealand Latin Dance Industry since 2009. She is a regular judge at the NZ Latin Dance Championships and South Island Latin Dance Championships and last year, she was awarded the NZ Latin Dance Industry Award in recognition for her service and contribution to the growth of the NZ Latin Dance scene.
Raine is a crowd favourite teaching at NZ Salsa Congress, capital bachata collective and Bay Salsa Festival.”

We’re very excited and can’t wait to see you there.
