We are so excited to bring these two amazingly talented dancers to Wellington in 2025 – Kristian & Amie!

Kristina & Amie are international bachata teachers from Brisbane and they’re thrilled to be joining us for a day of workshops and an awesome party.
Their teaching emphasises connection, safety, technique, smoothness and originality, believing that connection and safety should never be sacrificed just to look cool. Their workshops empower both leaders and followers to simultaneously elevate their skills, enabling you to become more in the moment and allowing you to create better-quality fun social dance experiences. Over the next few weeks, we will be posting more information and videos showcasing these stunning dancers.
THE SCHEDULE
There are three workshops, each 90 minutes long. They run sequentially and you can also take them as individual workshops:
1200 – 1330 Workshop 1 – Open level
1400 – 1530 Workshop 2 – Intermediate level
1600 – 1730 Workshop 3 - Advanced level
2030 – 1200 Party @ Te Whaea
🔥 WORKSHOP 1
“Overcoming Your Insecurities on The Dance Floor”
This Open level Signature workshop will take a gentle look at the ways in which you judge and criticise yourself as a dancer. The truth is we ALL get insecure about ourselves at times, and this limits our sense of presence, connection, fun, and joy we have while dancing. There’s a solution though: learning how to get out of your head and into your body. This workshop is not to be missed!
🔥 WORKSHOP 2
“The Must Know’s of Bachata Sensual”
This Intermediate level, concept-based workshop goes beyond turn patterns and technique into the most fundamental aspects that run through all of bachata sensual: principles. In this workshop we will focus on 4 of the 11 principles that will make you a more creative, connected, and confident dancer.
🔥 WORKSHOP #3
“Energy Flow”
In this Advanced workshop we will focus on more advanced concepts of energy flow, body control and linking moves, giving you more depth, creativity and nuance to your leading and following.
