Celebrating its 34th season the Myra Foundation Presents: Concerts in the Galleries will host the Cavatina Duo, Eugenia Moliner, flute (Spain) and Denis Azabagic, guitar (Bosnia) on Sunday, April 12, 2026. They have become one of the most impressive combinations of its kind in the world. The first guitar and flute duo to be featured on the covers of both Classical Guitar Magazine (UK) and the cover of Flute Talk (USA), the husband-and-wife Cavatina Duo breaks convention with their combination of instruments.
The Museum has excellent acoustics for this kind of intimate performance, and concerts are always followed by a free wine and cheese reception where audience members have a chance to meet the visiting musicians.
“This pair is generally considered to be the best of them [flute and guitar duos].”
—THE NEW YORKER
“The two musicians perform seamlessly together, firing our imaginations with exotic new sounds...extraordinary artistry of flutist Eugenia Moliner, who is technically and musically the most extraordinary flutist I have ever heard...the incredible musical gifts of Azabagic... The Cavatina Duo did nothing but astonish and delight”
—Herald Tribune, Sarasota, FL
The duo’s electrifying performances have captivated audiences worldwide in such major venues and festivals as Ravinia (Chicago), Da Camera Society (Los Angeles), Aix-en-Provence Summer Festival (France), the National Concert Hall of Taipei (Taiwan), National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, National Flute Convention Gala Concert (USA), Kolkata International Guitar Festival (India), as Well as in Spain, The Netherlands, South Korea, and over 30 other countries from Australia to Bhutan.
The season of chamber music by nationally and internally known musicians is the only series of its kind in the Grand Forks area. Chamber music can include both vocal and instrumental music played by a small ensemble with only one player to a part. Although it is often associated with string quartets, nearly any instrument and music from any musical period including modern and contemporary, can be found on a chamber music concert program.
All concerts are held on Sunday afternoons at 2 pm in the Museum galleries. They are open to everyone in the community and throughout the region. Tickets range from $10 to $35. Discounted season tickets are also available. Museum members receive discounted tickets and children 12 and under are free, as are students from 12-18 who play in their school orchestra or band. Seating is limited and guests are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance and come early for the best seats. Reservations may be made through the museum’s website at ndmoa.com or by calling 701-777-4195. Season tickets are also available.
