About this Event

Delighted to announce the details of our next Cavan/Dublin Business Networking event on Wednesday, 1st October 2025:

📍 Hosted at Matheson LLP, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2, D02 R296.

🕕 6:00pm – 8:30pm

The theme for this event is 'Global Business, Local Connections – Opportunities & Challenges'. The event is for business people and professionals with a connection to Cavan.

The event is being kindly hosted by Matheson LLP, via Cavan native Robert Maloney Derham, Corporate M&A partner in Matheson LLP.

Robert advises on all aspects of corporate transactions (including strategic and financial sponsor M&A, cross-border transactions, equity fundraising, joint ventures, shareholder arrangements, reorganisations, and general corporate matters).

Having previously worked in New York, Robert regularly advises both Irish businesses seeking to expand internationally and international acquirers of Irish businesses, across a range of industries and sectors.

We thank Robert and Matheson LLP for kindly hosting the event.

✨ What to Expect

  • Networking opportunities before and after the event – Connect with peers and new contacts over light refreshments.
  • Fireside Chat and Q&A – moderated by Robert Maloney Derham with a panel of senior business leaders and facilitators. The discussion will focus on Cavan as a location for both local and global trade with panellists who have experience in dealing with successful businesses trading locally and globally while also touching on the opportunities presented by international trade and expansion along with the current challenges.
  • Startup Spotlight – Hear from a Cavan-based startup pitching their business and three key asks to the network. The aim of this segment is to give back to the county and leverage the power of our network to help Cavan startups gain connections, potential leads and/or investment.

We have some wonderful panellists lined up for our Fireside Chat.

The first panellist is Caroline Ashe Brady, Director with KORE Insulation and KORE Retrofit based in Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan.

The remaining speakers will be announced over the coming weeks.
