Cauldrons & Creatures: A Halloween Science Adventure for Kidsfeaturing Witches Brews and Mushroom Monsters, too!
Step into the kid-sized laboratory of spooky science with Bella Vita Mushrooms & Hive Holistics in Downtown Rome! For one night only, we’re mixing strange brews, growing monsters, and inviting curious kids to become Halloween scientists.
🧪 Mushroom Monsters (with Bella Vita Mushrooms):
Kids will learn the basics of fungi life cycles—spores, mycelium, and all that hidden underground magic—before creating their very own “Mushroom Monster.” Using real oyster mushroom spawn, each child will pack a grow cup and decorate it like a spooky creature. Over the next week at home, their monster will sprout wild “hair” made of mushrooms! Creepy, crawly, and totally real science.
🧪 Witches’ Brews (with Hive Holistics):
No ordinary potion—this bubbling, color-shifting brew is part spooky spell, part instant science experiment. Kids will measure, stir, and watch as ingredients transform before their eyes. Each child will take home their own jar—part calming sensory potion, part mysterious science in motion.

Dress Code: Costumes encouraged! Some mild messiness may occur—bring a big tee shirt or smock if concerned. Bella Vita will have Lab coats, glasses and gloves to be used during their activity.
🎃 Come for the science, stay for the spooky. Each child leaves with two creepy creations to keep experimenting at home. We love this STEM Activity disguised as Halloween Fun!
