Palpation, blood testing (both on-site and mail-in) and ultrasound are methods of diagnosing pregnancy in beef cattle. These will be discussed and demonstrated by the NCSU Vet School at this event on October 9. Bruce Church has a herd of cattle behind his shop (Central Heavy Duty Paint & Body) that have a variety of service dates, so there should be some significant differences in ultrasound.
