Did you know the Catholic Church is a communion of seven spirituality types or languages? Which one is yours?Fr. Edward Estok, pastor of St. Albert the Great Parish in North Royalton, will be here Saturday, Oct. 25, to walk us through his “Discerner of Catholic Faith Languages” tool. This instrument he developed helps each participant to appreciate his/her preferred manner of growing in faith.
An understanding of the church as Communion and the appreciation of one’s personal faith language can lead each of us to more effectively share our Catholic faith as “missionaries of the Communion” in the world.
The event includes lunch and is offered free of charge, but advance registration is required. It will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Xavier Room inside St. Francis Xavier School, 612 E. Washington St., Medina.
Ordained in 1985, Fr. Estok has served five parish assignments, as well as diocesan ministries of Dir. of Continuing Education of Clergy, rector of St. John Cathedral, and Administrative Assistant to the Bishop of Cleveland. Fr. Ed has a Master of Divinity (1985) and a Master of Arts in Theology (1987) degree from Saint Mary Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Cleveland. He serves as a pastoral supervisor of seminarians in formation and has served as adjunct faculty member at Saint Mary Seminary teaching seminarians a course entitled “An Introduction to Christian Spirituality.”
