Catholic Answers leads the way in Catholic cruising! Our high-seas adventures offer elegant and festive ships; exciting itineraries; superb food, drink, and conversation; inspiring and orthodox talks; and (best of all!) camaraderie and friendship with fellow Catholics who share your love of Jesus Christ and want to see his Church flourish in this world and the next.Join Christopher Check, Cy Kellett, Joe Heschmeyer, and your shipmates to set sail in June on the St. Lawrence Seaway, rich in Catholic and North American history, Old World architecture, and stunning natural beauty. Holland America's msVolendam is a cruise ship in the classic style. Completely refitted in 2019, this magnificent ship is a favorite among Holland’s loyal following with its reputation for superb service and quiet elegance. We'll be porting in historic Montreal and Quebec City, North America’s great Catholic cities, and finishing in city of origin of the American War of Independence, Boston. Our stop in Nova Scotia will include a visit to Fortress Louisbourg, the two sieges of which were decisive in the contest between France and England for control of Canada.
Our talks will explore the origins of the Catholic Faith in North America beginning with the Jesuit Martyrs and Kateri Tekawitha. We will also take up the involved question of the Church during the American Revolution, a relationship that only grew more volatile as our nation matured.
Special guests this cruise include William and Amy Fahey of the Saint Thomas More College of the Liberal Arts and Fr. Paul Jerome Keller, O.P. as chaplain. We hope you’ll join us!
