A combination of two regular walks. Firstly a gentle slow paced circular walk of approximately 0.9 of a mile on flat, solid pavement around the grounds and surrounds of Norwich Anglican Cathedral. This is immediately followed by a 1.1 mile walk past the statue of Lord Nelson, through the Erpingham Gate, along Quayside and then beside the river,/ before returning through the Cathedral Close. The walks are designed to introduce people to Wellbeing Walks. Both walks will be lead by trained leaders who also assist the walkers and with a back marker who will stay with the last walker. You can walk at your own pace, engage others in conversation or just admire the beautiful surroundings.
At the end of the first walk you are welcome to join walkers for refreshments in one of the many nearby establishments or continue with other walkers for the second walk which follows on as soon as the last walker returns from the first. You have a choice of either or both walks.
The combined walks are around 2 miles and will take around 45 minutes at a steady pace. At the conclusion of the second walk we usually retire to the nearby Glass House or Cathedral Refectory. Feel free to join us. Other places are also available for refreshments. .
