This event consists of workshops and conversations exploring the themes of love, catharsis, and ecology. Hosted by Khaya Job (Femme Fatale Gals) and Michaela Yearwood-Dan (Laced exhibiting artist); they will take participants through a collective catharsis using readings from selected and contributed short texts as a point of departure for an open discussion. Michaela Yearwood-Dan takes us through her process of writing and the incorporated poems and song lyrics in her newly commissioned paintings featured in Laced. While Khaya Job (Femme Fatale Gals) will deliver a writing workshop that explores the contrast between pain and love, light and dark and the ups and downs of life – and how we move through them.
No experience in writing nor contemporary art necessary. This will be a safe space free from judgement and assumptions.
