Catbite is the brand new pop group that all the bobbysoxers are raving about down at the soda fountain. Composed of four, fine young people – Brittany, Tim, Ben, Chris – they hope their music enlivens the youth through their bouncy music. And it is bouncy. Based on an obscure style borrowed from the Caribbean, “ska” is all upstoked guitar and smooooth singing. Brittany is classical trained, though she resorted to pop singing at the chagrin of her professors. (They have since issued retractions to their objections after hearing the band’s debut full-length). Tim is a master guitar player that traded in his classical acoustic for a new-fangled electrical unit and the result is this new form of music that has the kids going completely mad! It’s too fast for the parents and has two much swing and soul for AM radio. Only time will tell if this new “rock and roll” fad will last, but if Catbite is any indication, it is here to stay!

The band’s debut self-titled LP was released in 2019 and the highly anticipated Sophomore album, "Nice One" debuted August 6, 2021 on Bad Time Records accompanied by a sold out hometown record release show

Jeremy Hunter, who built up a following doing ska covers of non-ska songs as Skatune Network, and who plays in We Are The Union, and who has also lent their talents to music by Jeff Rosenstock, Omnigone, and others, makes their own music as JER. Jeremy released two JER demos on Skank for Choice's 2020 Quarantine Compilation, followed by "Breaking News! Local Punk Denies Existence of Systematic Racism" on Bad Time Records, Asian Man Records, and Ska Punk Daily's awesome Ska Against Racism benefit compilation, and now they've released their first official single, "R/Edgelord," which was one of the songs Jeremy previously demoed.

As you might've guessed from the title, "R/Edgelord" takes on people who spew nonsense on the internet, and it's also a super fun, catchy, driving ska-punk song, fleshed out by exactly the kind of rich horn arrangements you'd expect from Jeremy. It's the first taste of JER's debut full-length album, coming soon via Bad Time Records.

Often pinned as a band that has a lot going on,” Teenage Halloween has crafted a sound rooted in abundance. Luke Henderik’s rare and universal lyrics, and the precise ear of engineer Evan Bernard, this newest collection of songs is full of surprises that humbly aims to redefine the modern DIY punk scene.

Predominantly a queer identifying band, the songs reflect this experience holistically with lyrics that grapple with vulnerability, community, extreme existentialism, mental illness, and gender euphoria. Accompanied by the band’s explosive energy, each song functions as a politically charged anthem. The album maintains constant energy, and that energy also celebrates the bravery of being a queer band. Further, the songs speak in narratives, making sure people are held accountable for their actions and in the same vein, given the opportunity to communicate that self-reflection.

The self-titled debut album Teenage Halloween was recorded by Bernard in Big Mama’s Recording Studio and was released by Don Giovanni Records in September 2020.

Take Today is a band from Southern New Jersey with half it's members just across the river in the Philadelphia suburbs. We played our very first show in November 2003. We recorded our first EP (The Fear of Thinking) in 2005 & our second (Somewhere Between Heaven & Hell) in 2007. However, with various line up changes & growing pains since the beginning, Take Today essentially rebooted itself in 2014.. well sorta. In 2014, we entered Gradwell House Recording & recorded "Communiques, Volume One" which was the first in many steps forward. Technically the 3rd EP but really the start of a refreshed & revitalized line up. We expanded once more in 2019 locking in our core 4 piece line up. At the end of Summer 2021, we recorded & released our newest EP "Communiques, Volume Two" picking up where we left off but with much more to come..
