Labor Day = CATass! Come and join us for our annual CATass trail run at Sugar Hollow on Monday/Labor Day! Run with old friends, meet some new friends, and go as fast or slow as you want for as short or long as you want on the beautiful trails of SNP out of the Charlottesville Reservoir out of Sugar Hollow. There will be plenty of water crossings and swimming options as well!
This is a "Fat Ass" run - no fee, no bibs, no awards, and no whining;)
The run starts at 7am at the main gravel parking lot at the back end of the reservoir. Give yourself a little extra time for parking as the lot fills up quickly and you may have a little hike from where you park.
Please see the link below for Keith Knipling's great map and infographic of the run - you can come out for the full 50k, 22 miles (Jones Falls/Doyles River loop and back) just 25k (up to Blackrock Summit and back) or even just 5 miles (to Big Branch Falls and back).
Please note, this is a group run with no trail markings or guides - each runner is responsible for bringing their own food and water, downloaded maps, and a phone in case of emergency. But, you'll quickly make friends!
Looking forward to seeing many of you there.
