‘Catapult’ is a new exhibition, showing the work of Greater Manchester artists and what the term ‘catapult’ means to them.
About this Event

Hosted by Cotton On MCR - Launching on Saturday 1st October with art talks on the night, the exhibition will be up at Whitworth Locke for a month. There will be a viewers vote competition and the winner will receive their own solo exhibition at Whitworth Locke! This is a biggy!

Cotton On MCR are calling all Greater Manchester artists to submit their work for ‘Catapult’. The exhibition is open to all and free to attend, and is another chance for them to show people how amazing Manchester’s art scene is.

Together with Whitworth Locke, they were drawn to the word ‘Catapult’ and want this exhibition to represent that. They feel this is a great way for Manchester artists to ‘catapult’ their career, as those artists featured in the exhibition have the chance to have their own solo show at Whitworth Locke in the new year, completely free!

Whitworth Locke is an amazing space, open to everyone. It’s not only a high-end hotel, but it has it’s own co-working space, they host a variety of events, and it’s connected to Foundation Coffee also.

The exhibition will take over the whole co-working area, covering the walls in a variety artwork. Plus, the launch night gives a selected number of artists a chance to talk about their work to all those attending. Giving them a chance to make connections and give people more insight into their work.

Launching Saturday 1st October 7:00pm – 10:00pm and open everyday until Saturday 29th October. Free to attend.
