About this Event
CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFT PREVENTION EVENT
With the support of the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, the Huntington Beach Police Department (HBPD) has partnered with ExperTec Automotive, Inc. and the Huntington Beach Police & Community Foundation to host a catalytic converter theft deterrent event.
We invite the public to bring their vehicles in to have their license plate numbers engraved onto their catalytic converters FREE of charge.
This event is a method of combating the alarming increase in catalytic converter thefts. Inscription will assist investigators to identify the part, should it be recovered. Our goal is to make this a deterrent in committing these thefts, help law enforcement with the recovery of stolen property and the apprehension of suspects. HBPD personnel will be available on-site to provide residents with information and crime prevention tips.
