Join us on Saturday Apr 27th for another high-voltage performance by Cat Bowring.St. John's born and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon raised, Cat Bowring got to share the stage early on with bands from Newfoundland and Paris in her parents' nightclub. Her first time across the ocean brought her to London where she discovered funk and soul with the Jam Professors. Captivated by her style and power, the band leader, Jon, made her promise to never lose her ability "let herself go with the music, reaching ecstasy."
Later, during her 10 years in Paris, Cat was part of her first originals band, Surikat - with whom she recorded her first album - as well as several authentic gospel choirs, where she further developed her sense of improvisation and creativity, fully expressing her energy and emotion. In 2011, her love of jazz and need for freedom caught up, and the Cat Bowring Quartet was born. During that period, she was able to perform and record with several high class musicians, such as bass players Christian Gentet and Jacques Vidal, as well as drummer John Betsch.
Since moving back to St. John's in 2014, Cat has been part of several projects with wonderful local talents, sharing her voice and passion in multiple languages and styles, honoring artists such as Edith Piaf, Aretha Franklin, Serge Gainsbourg, Leonard Cohen, Gal Costa, Zaz, The Rolling Stones, Luz Casal... She was preselected for the Voice France in 2020, and is now working on releasing her own material.

Our max capacity is 35 so larger groups (>3 people) should purchase tickets well ahead of time.
Walk-ins may be available on the day of the show - please drop in or call 709-722-9167 to confirm.
We suggest you arrive at least 15 mins early to avoid the rush. Show ends at 9:00pm.
Our Kitchen closes at 4:00pm, but snacks and baked treats are available till 9:00.
