About this Event
Get ready to unleash your inner coder and create a splat-tastic game using Python - it's going to be a purr-fectly fun time!
Each session is 1.5 hours long. Sign up for one of three sessions on Wednesday 18th February:
10:30am - 12pm
12:30pm - 2pm
2:30pm - 4pm
What you’ll do
You will:
- Write Python code using Pygame
- Make your own splat game
- Add sound effects
Who’s this for?
This is a workshop for children aged 7-12.

What you need to bring
All workshop equipment is provided.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Every booking automatically grants entry to an accompanying adult. Due to venue size, we ask that you don't bring more grown-ups so that everyone has plenty of room to create!
Cost
This event is free to attend. We charge a £3 booking fee, which is refunded after you attend the event. If you prefer, you can also leave it as a donation to MadLab CIC to support future community-led events. Refunds are processed within seven working days via our booking platform, Eventbrite.

Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.
This workshop uses Python and Pygame, free coding software you can download and use at home.
About the workshop lead
This workshop is led by Lee Power. Lee is an experienced teacher who specialises in design and loves tinkering with new technology.
