Hello all, It has been a busy month! I hope you are doing well lately. I want to say thanks for making the New England Deaf Night Out a success last weekend. About six states of deaf and hard-of-hearing people came all over. I hope you all had a good time.
It is time to announce for September events. We have an event we are coordinating with the Central MA host on September 13th. Keep an eye out for an announcement for that soon on where and what time on that evening.
For Boston Deaf Night Out, Krishna and I decided to host a Deaf Day Out on September 27th at Castle Island in South Boston! It will be during the afternoon from 2 pm to 6 pm. We would meet at the space right next to the children’s playground. Bring blankets, chairs, or something comfortable to sit down on! Bring your own food and beverages. Bring some throwing games if you want to play. Bring your children to hang and play at the playground! You can even bring your pets (dogs!) We hosted this place in the past and thought it might be fitting to host again in September. You can take the buses 9, 10, 11 to get there. There are plenty of parking spaces and it is free! We will see you there!
We are aware if it does rain that day, we have an alternative location. IF it does rain, we will host at Castle Island Brewing at night, starting at 6:30 pm for a Deaf Night Out instead. We will host description, parking, and such when it gets nearby!
As a reminder, Deaf Night Out North Shores is hosting their ASL Slam this Friday, August 29th. If any questions, you can contact them on that page or Karina Crochiere! Check out the other post in the past if you are interested in going. Again, both co-hosts are unable to make it, but we encourage you to go and sing your heart out and socialize!
In September, keep an eye out for upcoming events! Enjoy your last few days of Summer. Or maybe it will continue all the way until October, depending on climate change! Bye!
