HIKE DESCRIPTION:
Fancy a more challenging walk-up Castle Hill?
Join Susie & the group for a sunrise walk up to the summit of Castle Hill.
Please bring a head lamp.
We will meet at the Walker Street steps at 5.30 am and head towards the West End Cemetery along Maiden Hair and then up White Arrow, also known as Blue Spot, and on to Dianella Track to the summit of Castle Hill for a quick break and a few photos before descending down the goat track and looping back to finish back at Walker Street.
The trek up White Arrow is not suitable for a beginner.
The trail is technical, steep in sections with large boulders and rock faces to climb up. Good grippy shoes are recommended.
The views are spectacular, stretching out to Mount Louisa and Mount Stuart as we make our way to the road. Once at the top, wonderful views are a plenty, so don't forget the camera!
The walk itself will take ~ 1.5 hours depending on group dynamics.
At completion, please join us for a cuppa at the YWAM café.
