Part of the Northwest Florida Seafood Heritage series, this free event delves into the story of mullet, one of the most signficant local fisheries feeding our Gulf Coast communities. In this two-part exploration, participants will hear from engaging speakers and have the opportunity to explore the hertitage of mullet fishing with local chefs, community organizations, and University of West Florida researchers.

  • Gina Alvarez (Florida FWC) - Discover insights into the regulations shaping today’s fishing industry.
  • Teresa Pitts (Perdido Seafood Company) - Learn firsthand from the experiences of local fishermen about the life and legacy of mullet fishing.
