Come experience a special night of instrumental music at one of Saskatoon's most beautiful churches. The highlight of the evening will be the debut performance of Cassandra Stinn's new work for piano and strings, "Returnings," which will be released on October 5th. The performance will be accompanied by an immersive visual display by local artist Derek Sandbeck.*********************************************************************

Thanks to the generous support of the Saskatchewan Arts Board, admission will be a suggested donation of $25. Pay what you can, no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

About "Returnings":
Five years in the making, "Returnings" is an exploration of the places, feelings, and experiences we return to throughout our lives. Largely written with a baby in her lap at the piano, much of it recorded with her second baby inside of her and later between nursing breaks, this work plays with the often contradictory range of feelings she experiences all day every day as a parent in the age of the nuclear family, with all of its beauty and immense challenge. These themes - wonder, loneliness, joy, sadness, doubt, peace - are all universally relatable.
