Children in our community need the voice of a caring adult to speak up for them! Our fall training class will prepare volunteers for the very important work of becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). When a child has been abused or neglected, a CASA volunteer may be appointed by the court to advocate for the child's best interest in court and in the community. The pre-service training consists of six 2.5-hour classes, once per week, and court observation. A completed application, interview, and clean background check are required to begin the training. Dates and times of training are flexible and subject to change. For more information or to get started, call Child Watch Counseling and Advocacy Center at 270-443-1440.
