This will be the last Casa Murilo show.We started this journey in Oslo August 2008. Two English lads fresh off the boat from Brazil with no friends, no money, no jobs and no idea how to write a song or start a band. And so, with ideas on our hands and a head full of plans, we set out to do it anyway. We started with 3 simple rules. 1. Always be on time. 2. Look good. 3. Have fun. Two out of three ain’t bad.
Many of you who come to this show will have been there in those early days and stayed with us. Thank you very, very much. It’s been quite the ride - from Oslo’s filthiest toilet venues to main stage Øya, from Soviet Discotheques to open-air Bangladeshi amphitheatres. We’ve played planes, trains, buses, boats, trams, gardens, roofs, pole-dancing studios, schools, libraries, hospitals, museums, churches, weddings, christenings and more likely than not your living room. It’s been unbelievable. Right from the start we dreamt big but we never could have imagined what it would become. Casa Murilo has given us a lot. And we have all of you to thank for that.
So let’s send the old girl off in style. One last show - let’s make it a good’un, eh? 18th November 2022. Oslo. 14 years on from where it all began.
