Casa da Tone Weekend

Welcome to a new weekend in the spirit of Casa da Tone.
My weekends are made to spread love, fun, knowledge and respect for authentic kizomba/semba and the culture behind these beautiful dances. Since I never invite people to an African party without serving them food there is always food, snacks, fruit and sweets in my events.
This time with guest teachers from Angola, Finland/Portugal/Sweden and Hungary and DJ's from Oslo/Ghana and Burundi/Belgium. I am so proud, glad and humble that they want to come to help me build real kizomba in Oslo

About or DJs
Rabbil from Burundi/Belgium has been helping me in building kizomba/semba in Oslo from the very beginning. He is not only a great DJ and dancer but also travelling the world to teach kizomba/semba and also kompa.
LaMissy , Lamisi from Ghana/Norway is one of the best local DJs we have. Normally they will not allow her to play the music proper for real kizomba but in my Casa da Tone she really shows what she is made of. Skills, skills and lots of musicality. And grab a dance with her when she is not playing, she can dance !!
About our guest teachers
Kirsi van Sol
I know her from Portugal/Angola. I travelled in her group to Angola the two first times I was there. She knows everyone worth knowing there and was the best guide to know kizomba/semba in Angola.
Read more :
Kirsi has been a kizomba teacher since 2011 and has been leading trips to Angola since 2017, allowing students to experience the dance at its roots. She has taught students who have gone on become famous teachers worldwide, and she is the first white person who has taught kizomba in Angola, to Angolans. She collaborates continuously with Angolan champions and top artists to bring you the information and knowledge straight from the source, building a bridge between you and the Angolan culture – making it easier for you to learn and understand this rich heritage.
In May 2024, Kirsi was invited to share her experiences at the inaugural conference of the Original Kizomba Association in Angola, where she received an award for her contributions to promoting Angolan culture and tourism, which she regards as her “Oscar for Lifetime Achievement.” Her teaching emphasises musicality and the interpretation of music through the body. To facilitate this, she breaks down the physical techniques of dance from a biomechanical perspective, enabling students to fine-tune and fully utilise their instrument.
Vladimir Izomba and Nikolett Hamvas
I know her from Portugal where she lived and danced in "the old days" when I started travelling there to dance. The she moved banck to her country Hungary and started to build a community there and also arrange one of the best kizomba/semba festivals in Europe. I met Vladimir in her festival and loved his way of teaching and love his knowledge about kizomba/semba and also more traditional dances. He is new in Europe but speaks good English.
