Dancing Through Parkinson’s presents: Cartography of Hope: A Journey of Change, premiering at Highways Performance Space on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 7:30pm and Sunday, Sept. 15th at 2pm!
Join the creative and inventive Dancing Through Parkinson’s (DTP) dancers in a series of multimedia dance vignettes, directed by Rachel Whiting and created collaboratively by the DTP community. The work centers on participants’ self-portraiture, hopes for the present, and imaginings of wild and wonderful futures. The performances are paired with an interactive gallery, a weeklong residency with movement classes and writing workshops, and community celebrations.
The Saturday performance will host a post-show reception celebrating our community members, honoring Francine Ringold, and welcoming Invertigo's new Curatorial Council!

About the Program: Dancing Through Parkinson's (DTP) provides dance classes to people living with Parkinson's and other neurodegenerative, mobility, and age-related conditions. DTP takes neuro-specialized strategies and incorporates them into a movement class that benefits anyone looking for ways to boost cognitive care and mitigate physical symptoms of aging through creative & evidence-based practices. DTP is a versatile program that builds hope, community, and well-being through the joy of dance!
