10 Years of Monitoring Elusive Carnivores in the Southwest Crown
Join Swan Valley Connections’ Luke Lamar (he/him) for an exciting evening as he shares insights from a decade (2012-2022) of wolverine and Canada lynx monitoring in the Southwest Crown of the Continent.
SVC has been studying rare carnivores in the Swan Valley since the 1990s, focusing on species like Canada lynx, wolverine, fisher, and marten. As interest in these species has grown, SVC has collaborated with partners to gather detailed data on distribution, abundance, and genetics.
Luke will also showcase incredible game camera footage from the Southwest Crown, offering a rare glimpse into the lives of these elusive predators.
About the Speaker
As one of SVC’s Managing Directors, Luke Lamar oversees conservation programs and has spent his life immersed in the landscape of the Swan Valley. A wildlife biologist and former wilderness ranger, he brings years of experience studying grizzlies, wolverines, lynx, and other wildlife.
